REPs is a register of fitness instructors, coaches and teachers working in the fitness industry. It has been created to ensure that instructors are properly qualified and to give the general public confidence in their instructors’ competence to teach. REPs approve courses that are nationally recognised and meet or exceed their standards.
Once you are a member of REPs, you are encouraged to take further training, to broaden your skills and keep your knowledge up-to-date. This is known as continuing professional development or CPD. For each approved course that you undertake, you can earn REPs CPD points. To remain on the Register, you need to earn 24 CPD points over two years with a minimum of 4 per year. Look out for the REPs CPD points logos throughout Pocketfits prospectus.
